Your guide will meet you at the tourist office, to kick off your visit with a panoramic tour around Toledo, stopping at the Mirador del Valle viewpoint, before moving on to the guided walking tour. After the tour, and depending on the option you choose, your will be taken back to your hotel in Madrid, or if you prefer, you will have 3 hours of free time to have lunch, walk around on your own, or go shopping in Toledo, before returning to Madrid. The 3-hour guided tour is a walk through the Christian, Jewish and Muslim quarters, visiting the main monuments, such as the cathedral, the mosque or the synagogues, as well as underground archaeological remains.

    Toledo is one of the oldest and most beautifully preserved cities in Spain, home to monuments, museums and works of art that span millennia – from Roman ruins to spectacular Gothic cathedrals, mosques and synagogues, as well as narrow cobbled streets and romantic squares. Our guided tour is a walk through the Christian, Jewish and Muslim quarters, with stops at the Alcázar, the mosque, the synagogues and the 13th-century cathedral. We will also explore the fantastic work of El Greco, complete with a visit to his masterpiece, The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, at the Church of Santo Tomé. Absolutely incredible! What an experience! My wife and I were greeted at our hotel in Madrid by our own personal driver. From there we enjoyed a short 1 hour ride through the beautiful Spanish countryside. In a short distance from the hustle-bustle of big (amazing) city life, lies a place where time is frozen! Toledo, Spain! We met our personal tour guide, Carlos just outside the city. To say he was amazing would be doing him a HUGE disservice! Personable, kind, knowledgeable and highly educated, Carlos is. We recommend you get in all you can. The Toledo Cathedral is a forgotten art of what mankind can accomplish! Awe inspiring! From the cobble streets, to the history, the views and the architecture, this city is beyond words. While you're enjoying the sights and learning all about this storied city's history, make sure and stop in at Ceramica J Serrano. Over 5 generations of family, hand-making and painting the most beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces of artisan craftsmanship you will ever have the pleasure of experiencing! (Go down to the caves in here too) My wife and I will forever have these memories together! Now GO!!

Alvaro our driver was right on time, actually early! Our drive was pleasant and relaxing. we arrived in Toledo and met Irene. Irene was so well studied so personable, friendly knowledgeable, and interesting.

Toledo was one of the high points of our trip to Spain and one of the reasons was Carlos' amazing tour. My family loved the tour and we all felt he was one of the (if not THE best) guide we have had, anywhere in the world. He was personable, kind, extremely knowledgable and customized the tour a bit, depending on what we were interested in, even making a bit of a detour to take us to a handmade pottery shop. His love of Toledo was palpable and his knowledge of Toledo's history as well as Spanish history was great. He was everything we could ask for in a guide.
