Led by an entertaining foodie guide, this walking tour is the best introduction to the laid back Madrileno lifestyle. In a small group, with an average maximum of 10 people, you'll visit Madrid's tucked-away corners and feast on tasty treats you would never discover on your own, leaving you with a lasting feeling for Madrid and its people, and an appetite for its fabulous food and drink! Our unique pay-as-you-go system allows us to personalize things to your tastes on the night. The tour price includes your first drink and tapas at the first bar you'll visit. You can then choose how much or how little you'd like to eat and drink at the other bars/restaurants you'll visit on the evening walking tour.     We will meet between the two metro entrances of Metro Opera in Plaza Isabel II and introduce you to fellow travelers and explain the plan for the evening. PLEASE NOTE THIS ITINERARY IS AN EXAMPLE ONLY AS WE CHANGE THINGS AND ADAPT ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE GROUP ON THE NIGHT. From here we will go to our first bar where the food and drink is included in the tour price (min 1 drink and 3 tastings) and get the evening started explaining the origins of tapas and some of its ins and outs.     We will walk through the Main Square of Madrid and tell you a bit about its history and traditions and make a few suggestions on what to see/eat/drink during the rest of your stay. Duration: Passing through

    You will have built up an appetite by now so we will go to our second bar where we will advise you on what are the best things to eat and drink and explain how tapassing is done in Spain with useful information on how to order, tipping etc. Duration: 30mins

    We are now getting into the swing of tapassing, Madrid style, so only a short walk to the next bar where we will get you tasting more of their specialty dishes. Duration 45mins

    You may be beginning to feel a little full by now but avoid the bread and leave some room for the last bar where we will try to book a table and sit down to finish off in a more relaxed fashion, often with some great seafood. On the way we will point out some more not-to-miss spots and some historical buildings such as the Spanish parliament etc. Our tour will end in this last bar and you should be very full. Depending on the night and group, you will probably have tried anywhere between 12 and 20 different dishes and have got a real feel for the Madrid culinary scene.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

My husband and I very much enjoyed this tour. Our Guide Charley was very informative and entertaining. We enjoyed good quality food at every place that he took us to. It was a fun evening.

Charlie is amazing. Knows his stuff, entertaining, and took his time with us. Would do this again! Also, cost was amazing because the large group split everything.
