Spend the day exploring with us in depth the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, visiting two of the main wineries in the region. Discover the versatility of the Tempranillo grape variety and a region that, in a few years, has become the Spanish vanguard of international wine. During the day as you travel through the beautiful landscape, you will visit two wineries that represent the diversity of the region, tasting different styles of wines made with the Tempranillo grape as a base. You will have the opportunity to meet winemakers and owners and visit their underground cellars where some of the best wines in Spain are aging in ideal conditions.

    We will start the day visiting a modern winery with an avant-garde building that integrates functionality, beauty and integration into the territory. During the tour of its facilities we will learn about the cultivation of grapes in a climate as extreme as that of the Ribera, winemaking techniques and aging times. We will finish the tour with a tasting of American and French barrels in the subway cellar and then go up to the wine bar to taste three of their best wines surrounded by old vineyards that surround the winery.

    We will then visit a family winery, promoter of the Ribera del Duero D.O. and owner of the largest subway winery still in production in the entire region. Its owners will guide us through this fascinating tour inside the land where more than a thousand barrels keep some of the best wines of Spain. A winery that dates back to the 16th century and is considered one of the Spanish wine cathedrals.

  • Gumiel Del Mercado, Gumiel Del Mercado, Spain
    We will visit the mountain of the historical underground cellars of this medieval town. We will enter some hundred-year-old wineries to see how some neighbors continue to make wine in the traditional style. Time for lunch. We will enjoy from a traditional meal at a magic restaurant surrounded by locals. This restaurant use to be a centennial winery hundreads of years ago with traces of the activity still there as witnesses of a golden wine making past

Spent a beautiful day with Enrique our tour guide in Ribera del Duero with three experiences. Included in our tour was a wine tasting at a beautiful local winery, a full tour of one other top wineries with a full meal and wine tasting of its top wines, and a tour of another winery including its underground barrels storage, which was one of a kind. After I mentioned that we had wanted to us it Segovia but didn’t have the time, Enrique made a quick drive through the city so we could see the ancient aqueduct and castle. The entire day was a real treat. We recommend it highly.

La forma que tiene Enrique de transmisión de la cultura del vino, incluso en dos idiomas a la vez, inglés casi nativo. Si estas dudando entre varios tours, ya no tienes que seguir buscando. 100% recomendable.
