Toledo old town was declared by Unesco a " World Heritage Site" in 1986. And this was due to the great importance of the city in the old times and the many monuments that have been preserved from different periods . The whole old town is like an open air museum. If there is a city that sums up our country's history, that one is Toledo. I love history and my goal in this tour is to share it with you in a way that would make it memorable and entertaining at the same time. Each of you are different, therefore the ability to tailor the visit to your interests will by my priority. We will travel throught the time and visit the highlights of this fascinating city. We will follow the traces of Muslims, Jewish and of course, Christians. Without forgetting "El Greco" , the painter who immortalized the city with his paintings. I was visiting Spain and Portugal, and while in Madrid, wanted to take a side trip to Toledo. Mariluz was my guide and she was simply wonderful! From meeting up at the hotel to dropping me off in a taxi afterwards, the tour was superlative from beginning to end. She took me to all the must-see sites, including the cathedral, mosque, and a synagogue. I took some wonderful pictures and had a chance to do some great shopping. I highly recommend her if you want to tour Toledo, or even if you are revisiting (as I was) and wish to learn and see more of the city.

Nothing can be better than a private tour when you vacationing in another country. Our 3 days with Mariluz were outstanding. Starting from Prado Museum in Madrid, continuing in Escorial and Segovia and finishing in Toledo. She is an endless source of historic information that will carry you away. Thank you very much Mariluz for your knowledge and expertise.
