Big Island is home to some of the most stunning waterfalls in all of Hawaii. Our Waterfall Tour will enchant you! Upon departing from Kona International Airport, we will whisk you away to explore the seven windward valleys of Kohala. First stop is the windward side of the Kohala Mountains where we will fly the coastline of Waipiʻo Valley and then move westward to Waimanu Valley. Waimanu can experience annual rainfall of up to 200 inches, fueling 1500+ ft waterfalls, some of the tallest in all of Hawaii.

    This tour is done DOORS ON ONLY. Big Island is home to some of the most stunning waterfalls in all of Hawaii. Our Waterfall Tour will enchant you! Upon departing from Kona International Airport, we will whisk you away to explore the seven windward valleys of Kohala. First stop is the windward side of the Kohala Mountains where we will fly the coastline of Waipio Valley and then move westward to Waimanu Valley. Waimanu can experience annual rainfall of up to 200 inches, fueling 1500+ ft waterfalls, some of the tallest in all of Hawaii. Following the valleys west, we fly over Honopue, Honokea, Honokane Iki, the historic valley of Honokane Nui or “big” Valley and Pololu Valley. We will climb and cross over the summit of Kohala, the oldest of the five volcanoes that make up the Big Island of Hawaii. Tour will conclude with a beautiful coastline flight over sparkling ocean waters, ancient lava flows and the spectacular luxury resorts that make their homes on the island’s leeward shore.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

5 stars all the way! Easy online reservation and payment process, with timely messages and phone calls from Savannah to make sure we (4 adults) were informed and ready for our trip. The check in was smooth, informative and quick. Our pilot Alex was friendly and professional, explaining safety, headset communication, our flight plan etc before lift off, then keeping us informed of our location and all the sights below. The flight was smooth, weather was clear, scenery in the valleys and the waterfalls was beautiful. The views along the coastline allowed us to see humpback whales! What a great experience! We would highly recommend Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours.
