Felipe chose places we never would have found and shared history we would never have heard without him! Málaga’s centro area is a maze of small streets and alleys with lots of restaurants and shops. Felt totally safe the whole time - both physically and with care for food allergies of one person in our group. Our first stop was Antigua casa de Guardia on Calle Pastora. I enjoyed the Moscato but some in our group were iffy on it. The appetizer of pickled onions, green olives, and a pickled white fish was also a 50-50 hit. El almacén del Indiano on Calle Cisneros was the second stop. Really interesting learning about how ham is classified based on how it is fed, raised. The meats, cheese, and wine at this spot were delicious.
El gallo ronco on Plaza de las flores was the 3rd stop. The appetizer and pork roast were delicious. Would order again.
Taberna la Gloria on Calle Beatas was the last stop. Our table was in a beautiful spot in the gorgeous restaurant. We had chicken skewers and croquettes. Delicious! This was a memorable way to experience Málaga and we would highly recommend Felipe and Food Sherpas.
