Robert went above and beyond to explain, with great insight and clarity, the complex history of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and showed how Salzburg played a major role. He is a master tour guide… a true professional and gentleman. Bravo. But a heads up! This is a VERY LONG slog, back and forth across Austria from Vienna to Salzburg. I think it might be better to spend the night in Salzburg and book this first-rate tour company’s shorter distance tours to Budapest, the Danube or Bratislava.

We had a great tour of the lake area on our way to Salzburg with brief stops in Attersee, Mondsee & St Gilgen before Arron Salzburg. Our guide & driver, Rui was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged throughout the day. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and well worth the time and money.

Great walking tour of Salzburg. What a beautiful city full of history which also was the setting for the Sound of Music. We were walked throughout much of the city and highlights were all pointed out along the way. There were some stops along the way in the lakes region…… though lovely, I could have done without as it was a rainy day
