Through the tour in Can Det you will see a clear example of the declaration of the Serra de Tramuntana as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The so-called Outstanding Universal Value coincides with the activity of Can Det both in the way of cultivating the ancient olive trees on the terraces of the mountains of the valley of Sóller and in the irrigation systems of its orange plantations. It is a sample of the human adaptation to the territory for centuries forming the current cultural landscape. Tasting the oil from olive trees more than 1000 years old is a unique experience.

In een ogenschijnlijk bescheiden pand huist een imposante industrie met een rijke geschiedenis. Als je de deuren door gaat ga je terug in de tijd. Overal zie je elementen van hinderden jaren ondernemerschap. De rondleiding was fijn. Een kleine groep waardoor je veel persoonlijke aandacht krijgt. De lunch is heerlijk met verse ingrediënten. Let op met parkeren. De straatjes zijn erg smal en er is weinig parkeergelegenheid. Een stukje de berg op is ruim voldoende parkeergelenheid.

A lovely visit, shared with the family owners. Knowledge of land, climate and making of local produce was fascinating.
