Come on a tour of Birgu, one of Malta's oldest cities, and discover its long history of magic, witchcraft, ghosts and tragedy. This tour will show you the site of Malta's biggest-ever explosion; the public place where convicts were strangled to death; tell you how witches were tortured; and why the Order of St John's navy was once flipped upside down; and you'll see where ghosts roam the city's palazzos and fortifications. During the tour, you'll also encounter ancient spells that make the object of your desire fall in love with you, bring a lost lover back to your arms, or throw a curse on an entire family.     We will be walking along the Vittoriosa Waterfront and hearing dark stories along the route.

    We will stand outside Fort St Angelo and hear gruesome stories of its bloody history, and hear the legend of the ghost of the Blue Lady.

We enjoyed walking around Birgu and all the beautiful buildings whilst hearing insights and details of the past. The commentary was interesting and laced with bits of humour. We are looking forward to attending another of Mario's tours!

The tour is very well researched and Mario's delivery is relaxed and amusing, but with many historical facts beyond the scary ones, that visitors to Malta will find very interesting. We are looking forward to the Mdina and Valletta tours. Highly recommended. Well done and thank you !!
