Comino, Blue Lagoon and Caves. Tour A

We booked this cruise simply because we liked the way the ship looked, being completely undecisive on which cruise to book. Well it was outstanding: the ship is a beautiful turkish gullet, and captain owen has greeted everyone personally on board. The crew showed everyone where to sit paying attention to their requests when possible. We found the boat very clean and very well kept. It was not overly crowded as we only loaded around 40 people, the captain has later explained that while the boat is certified to hold 100 passengers, he prefers to load less to ensure maxiumum comfort and to make everything easier to manage for the crew (a very smart decision). We departed from bugibba earlier than expected since we had finished loading all booked passengers. During the entire trip to comino the captain provided commentary in english and italian, which was great for my non-english speaking parents. The boat passed by comino at a leisurely pace, giving enough time to take pictures and enjoy the view. We headed to gozo first, where people who booked the gozo cruise were left behind while we headed to Crystal Bay. The boat has a small kitchen and bar on board and the crew serves drinks and food on demand. The food choice is small, but intelligent: hot dogs, hamburgers, baguettes, wraps, chicken nuggets, salads and fries. We were taken by suprise by the prices: the food was quite cheap. We had brought some snacks becuase we expected it to be very expensive, but it wasn't. You can expect to be able to eat and drink for as low as 5-6 euros. Once in crystal bay we stopped for a short time to swim and we were offered a short 20-minute speedboat trip for 15 euros per person. We didn't take it because we wanted to swim instead, but the people who did told us that it was very enjoyable. We then headed to blue lagoon, and the speedboat from earlier went to pick up the passengers left in gozo to bring them to the boat. They moored the ship a bit further away from the main lagoon, where the water is just as clear and beautiful but there is much less crowd. We decided to jump from the boat anyway (the crew does allow this) and we had an amazing snorkeling experience. The boat also has a small hand-shower to clean up salt, it's located on the left side of the hull and can be accessed while climbing the ladder, and is very handy when getting out of the water. During the entire trip the crew played a great music choice of 90's classics that made everything just that little bit more enjoyable. All in all, the crew was extremely friendly, and i cannot recommend this enough. You cannot go wrong with seahorse.

We did the Comino day long tour with Seahorses and would highly recommend. The team were friendly, helpful and efficient and we had a very enjoyable day - our two teenagers loved it, especially the optional trip on a speed boat, and swimming at the Blue Lagoon.
