    Fort Manoel is a star fort on Manoel Island in Gżira, Malta. It was built in the 18th century by the Order of Saint John, during the reign of Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena, after whom it is named. Fort Manoel is located to the north west of Valletta, and commands Marsamxett Harbour and the anchorage of Sliema Creek. The fort is an example of Baroque architecture, and it was designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind.

This peninsula also divides Grand Harbour from a second parallel natural harbour, Marsamxett Harbour. The main waterway of Grand Harbour continues inland almost to Marsa. The southeastern shore of the harbour is formed by a number of inlets and headlands, principally Rinella Creek, Kalkara Creek, Dockyard Creek, and French Creek, which are covered by Kalkara and the Three Cities: Cospicua, Vittoriosa, and Senglea. I really loved this ferry trip to the three cities,its very cheap and short and operates to late in the evening,the three cities is amazing to explore and very different to Valletta,there are many great restaurants,bars and historic sites,highly recommended

We didn’t even get to go on the trip as it doesn’t run Sundays. Only found out once at the harbour ready to get on the boat. So we had been allowed to buy tickets but for a non-existent tour. Have messaged many times about a refund but no reply…

The people working on the boat were very unfriendly and unhelpful would never do it again. Didn't give clear instructions where to pick up the boat. Honestly a waste of 90 mins an 45 euros.
