The idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk with its colourful luzzus and unique character make the unrivalled setting for the local market. This is the perfect place to spend a Sunday morning, where you can rub your shoulders with the locals as you browse through the various stalls. We continue our tour with a visit to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting – boat price not included) and the nearby caves. Admire the whole expanse of the blue Mediterranean and the islet of Filfla.
Later our guide will help you explore one of Malta’s unspoilt villages. From the main square, the hub of the village with its parish church and band club, you will be led through a maze of winding narrow streets that all have a story to be told.

Great half day tour with a wonderful tour guide (Josephine). The market at Marsaxlokk was everything we expected - loud, crowded, colourful and fantastic. We enjoyed the blue grotto but we like the one on Gozo Island better. Transfer to and from meeting points were very good. Josephine was excellent - her English was very good, she was very knowledgeable and we found the information she provided to be interesting. Highly recommended tour.

Bought our trip off graham outside the Santana hotel bugibba it was a gorgeous day to go we got picked up outside our hotel and went to the blue grotto cost €8 each to go by a small boat round the caves etc the water was amazing loved every moment!!! Then we were off to marsaxlokk to the market. We did not have enough time here at all the bus drops you off about 10 minutes walk away we only had something like an hour or so. Definitely not enough time to have a nice stroll through the market and go get cup tea in the beautiful harbour area if we go back I will use public transport €2 to the market and have a day there. You can also get the bus to the blue grotto I would recommend doing that there are cafes at the blue grotto plus there is a golf buggy that will take you up and down the hill to the boats only a couple of euro there is lots of help at hand to get you in and out of the boats I was slightly concerned after reading a review that it was tricky it’s so worth doing but definitely go yourself and use the buses they are so regular and reliable

"The sea was angry that day, my friends", so no boat rides at the Blue Grotto, but it was a very pleasant tour. Our guide, whose name I've alas forgotten (a lady from the Netherlands that speaks Dutch, German, English and French) was excellent: just the right quantity of information delivered in a very professional and delightful way!
