Through this activity guests will learn the brief history of the Maltese traditional tile and will have the ability to create their own tile from scratch (including the base) which they can use either as a coaster or a decorative piece, or else giving it as a small gift to their relatives back home. This is meant to create an element of interactivity and authenticity to the souvenir. The workshop is run by a professional Art teacher, and forms part of the activities run by a local non-profit organization catering for the culture and the arts.

It was a delightful experience to be a part of Clive’s tile making workshop! I enjoyed Clive’s introduction to the history of tile making The class takes place In his Art studio inside his authentic Maltese home It is a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere which is full of inspiring creations. A very cool vibe indeed! There were other guests as well that added to the fun! We made a tile and then chose a Maltese pattern and colors to paint our tile souvenir. while my tile was drying, I noticed he has other unique items he makes ond sells on premise. Beautiful postcards, pin buttons badges handmade pouches. What a convenient way to shop a bring back a little treasure for family and friends! Im really glad I went . I highly recommend this class. Thanks for everything Clive !

It was not only fun but also educational. Clive offers everything you need to make and embellish the tiles and a lot of knowledge about Maltese history and culture! If you are interested in exploring your creative streak, this workshop is a great opportunity!

The workshop was truly beautiful, an unique Maltese experience. Clive is an inspiring artist, he’s very creative and passionate about art in general and also gave us infos about the Maltese culture. The entire process of making our own Maltese tile was so fun and we got ourselves the perfect souvenir: a morning to remember with fun people and the tiles we made that will forever remind us about our trip to Malta
