We were fortunate to have great weather, the tides/wildlife cooperated, and we got there early enough that they didn't run out of spots for us. All of which is not guaranteed here. Go into it with the mindset you might not get to the hidden beach and might only get to snorkel and sightsee the islands. It's an hour boat ride to and from the islands. Our guide was great as we toured the island and waited our turn to enter the hidden beach. Once provided helmets by the park rangers it was a mad dash to the mouth of the cave. Once we got managed to get everyone into the cave it was a challenging swim against the current to actually make it to the beach. Eventually we all made it onto the beach and used our limited time there to recuperate and take pictures. Our guide was gracious in taking photos of all our groups, already knowing which angles were the best. After our roughly 20minutes of time on the beach were up we headed back out and back onto the boat. As a first time snorkler I found the experience to be a lot of fun. We got to see a decent variety fish and sea creatures. No luck on a turtle though. An afternoon spent just snorkling would have been great, but this is really about the chance to go to the hidden beach. All in all I consider this the highlight of our trip and well worth the time/money. The one thing I will mention as other people have is that this is a short but difficult swim. Inside the cave it felt like fighting a riptide with the lifejacket and helmet on. Our guide ended up having to assist the weakest swimmer in our group, but there's only one guide to help. A whole group of weak swimmers might not make it through the cave with any time to enjoy it if they need all need assistance. But if you're up for the challenge you will be rewarded.

Great half-day excursion. Seats on boat were very uncomfortable, no back rests. They could definitely spring for some back cushions on their boats to make the hour long ride to and from the island more comfortable. The time alotted on the hidden beach is less than 10mins. You’re rushed in and out to allow other people to access the hidden beach. That’s the only down side but it’s out of their control. Just be aware of that. The swim wasn’t that difficult for us but other people on our tour definitely struggled. It’s a bit challenging due the strong ocean current and if it’s high tide expect a more difficult swim before you reach the hidden beach. Snorkeling after was great and relaxing. Sandwiches they provide are more than enough to hold you over till you get back on land. All around a beautiful experience and would definitely recommend!
