YaYa did a fabulous job of showing us around thru the souk. He showed us special stores which interested us and never encouraged us to buy anything. He was fun and very respectful. He also showed us unusual architectural alleys from the 11th and 16th centuries that we would never have known about without a guide. Having seen the souk WITH a guide, I'm very sure now that I would never explore it on my own. I would get very very lost...and I don't get lost easily. With a guide at your side, street vendors don't pressure you with their products. That'a a big plus!! It'a a great place to see. You MUST go. Great for photos!!

We went for the pick up and drop off service. He and his driver picked us up on time. We stopped by a couple of landmarks on the way. Yaya took us to a few "higher end" proper shops after a bit of olive tasting and a coffee. The items were high quality and prices reasonable, we found a rug we're definitely going to buy for our house in Spain.
We felt we'd seen enough of the established shops and Yaya took us into the more market-y area of the souk. This gave us the chance to get to grips with the prices.
Then he took us to a HUGE fixed price supermarket for basically everything that can be found in the souks. The prices were reasonable and we bought a lot of souvenirs and smaller items here.
We ran into him in there the next day when we were trying to find our way around the place again and even sorted is a driver to take us back to the hotel again even though we weren't on his tour that day. The taxi was reasonable at 100DH.
All in all a great experience, hope to join him on his food tour next year.
