10 Days private Morocco tour from Marrakech

Legit the best private tour possible. Mohammed was polite, helpful, charming, accomodating - even took us for traditional lunch to his family home. We had some payment issues and Ali/Mohammed helped us rejig our payment options as per our convenience. Cannot recommend more. If there's an agency you want to choose, it is this.

My family and I scheduled our tour through Camel Safaries. The owner, Ali, was very responsive in our communications, and extremely helpful in planning our route. What a great experience, especially, for my children. Our tour guide, Mohammed, took great care of us. He was not only knowledgeable, but very kind and patient. He was very flexible with our time during the trip. The desert portion of the trip and meeting local families was one favorite. My children were thrilled to play a quick game of soccer with the local children. The camel trek in the dunes of the Erg Chebbi (Sahara Desert), and overnight stay at the luxury camp was beautiful and exciting. We also spent another day visiting the areas around the desert and stayed at a hotel-kasbah that was right on the edge of the dunes. Our tour started in Casablanca and we visited Fes, the desert, Dades Valley, Ouarzazate, Essaouira which is on the coast, and flew out of Marrakech. Essaouira, Dades Gorge with awesome hiking around the "monkey fingers", and Marrakech were favorites. The Jemaa el-Fna Square in Marrakech was so unique,; the souks, entertainment in the square. We even did a food tasting tour. The tour was an enriching, educational experience as well. We didn't have enough time to visit many areas in the north (Chefchaouen and Tangier) nor southern coast, Agadr, Mirleft, and Safi. Maybe, on a future trip? I highly recommend this local tour operator. It will be an experience you will never forget.

Huge thanks to Camel Safaries and most especially Khalid for guiding us off through some of the finest places in Morocco, including many off the beaten track. We are a family of five – two adults and three kids (aged 16, 13 and 11) - just back from a wonderful 8 day adventure from Essaouira to the Sahara desert (Merzouga) and back to Marrakech. It was our first time in Morocco and we were very keen to get to know the country. From the start we felt in good hands. Ali listened to our needs and was extremely responsive to us on email as he proposed ideas for our trip. Khalid allowed us to sit back and take in Morocco. To be driven cross country with him was an immense pleasure. He is an extremely careful driver, was very attentive to our needs, answered all of our questions, sharing his experience and knowledge with us. Khalid was great with the kids. One of our first purchases was a football and he made sure that the kids had plenty of opportunities to kick it around. The Riads that Camel Safaries choose for us were delightful. As vegetarian parents with carnivore kids, we appreciated the efforts that Ali and Khalid made to accommodate our needs. We look forward to coming back to exploring the north of Morocco with Camel Safaries!
