    Around 9am the trip starts heading south, between olive farms, but before, see the high Atlas, and then, finish with the Agafay desert area, that remains one of the most beautiful and also the closest deserts to Marrakesh . This is a large and arid rocky hilly site that offers you the feeling of being in the desert but not away from Marrakesh.

    On the way out from the red city you can already see the Majestic Atlas mountains in the background; especially some distant houses  around, that belong to old families who’ve been there hundreds of years before, we cross Asni valley rich of different fruit trees such as apples; walnuts; quince; and cherries, carry on to the next stop where  you can have an hour  walk through the mountains of Imlil, a small town located at the foot of  Toubkal, the highest summit in North Africa, where you can enjoy a delicious Berber lunch and admire the natural landscapes of the famous National Parc of Toubkal. Once again we leave towards, the Takerkoust dam; and this will be the beginning of new landscapes, we’ll be crossing the KIK Plateau to the Agafay desert, once on the spot it will be around 36 km from Marrakech, this is an area, that not many tourists know, and here you can join mountains and forests to desert.

Ifsar Sherif was my driver to the Atlas Mountains on 15 October 2019. He was a most wonderful companion for this tour. He had great knowledge of the area and communicated his ideas very clearly to me. We had an enjoyable lunch in the home of one of the local guides. Mr. Sherif’s driving was very fine and not once did I feel in any way frightened while on the road with him. The beauty of the mountains matched the beauty of the character and personality of Mr. Sherif. A very memorable trip, one I will cherish for a long time.

Wir hatten fünf Tage einen Fahrer, Sherif, der uns von Fes nach Erfoud, Merzouga, Dades Schlucht, Ait Ben Haddou bis nach Marrakesch brachte. Die Tour war wundervoll, interessante Landschaften und Städte, die Wüstenübernachtung mit Kamelritt, die Wanderung in der Dades Schlucht und und..die Vielfalt der Natur, die Erlebnisse mit den Menschen dort. Unser Fahrer war superpünktlich, hat uns sehr unterstützt bei allem, leckeres Essen in Restaurants ausgewählt, kannte immer den Weg und hat uns, als in unserer Gruppe jemand krank wurde, sehr geholfen. Auch hat er uns am Original Berberleben teilhaben lassen. Das Auto klimatisiert und sauber, außerdem ist Sherif ein sehr guter Fahrer.

We just back from Marrakesh, what an amazing experience we got there and we are especially thankful for our guide/driver Abdullah. We went on two trips with him (booked over the hotel) and really enjoyed, he speaks good English and is very friendly, polite, professional and very entertaining since we were traveling with our five-year-old son Abdullah all the time find the way to entertain him. He told us a lot about Morocco history and culture, was always willing to stop everywhere we asked him. Would highly recommend Adventure Masters and especially the driver.
