Tangier is a beautiful and mystical place, utterly foreign to anything we have ever experienced. I would not recommend trying to experience Tangier without a local guide. And you will never find a better one than Hamza. Our experience of this beautiful place is colored completely by the kindness of Hamza. He made the tour seem fresh and fascinating. He is an expert at understanding his guests and was willing to modify the tour somewhat to tailor it to our interests. He grew up in the Medina so he not only knows his way around, but he also knows many people along the way. It was a rare treat to see Tangier and the Medina through his eyes. He went above and beyond for us more than once - this is not merely a job for him. It is an opportunity to extend loving kindness to foreigners.

We met Hamza at the Media in Tangier. He was amazing fluent in several languages including English. Vast knowledge of the city and its history. We did a walking tour and he showed us an amazing restaurant for lunch (the food was incredible and they even had a menu for vegetarian) we enjoyed the tour with Hamza that we booked him for two more on our stay.

My wife and I signed up for a private tour with Hamzah Amrabt and his driver, Youssef, on 29 Oct 2022. We had a fantastic time and we learned so much about Tangier and the culture that it really changed some of our preconceptions. Hamzah and Youssef showed us a very international city with low crime and very friendly people. We felt incredibly safe and we learned more in one day than we could have ever learned in a week navigating all of the tourist stops, markets and restaurants by ourselves. Hamzah knows that town like the back of his hand, he speaks at least four languages and he seems to know everyone in Tangier! He's like a local celebrity walking down the street! He listened intently to what we wanted to see and he made sure that we were able to go to the correct markets to find exactly what we were looking for while ensuring that we got to see the cultural gems and popular sights along the way. The restaurant that he took us to was absolutely incredible and fun. I cannot recommend Hamzah and Youssef enough. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and treated us like VIPs the whole day. Truly an experience of a lifetime and a memory that we will always treasure. My wife and I wish them both great success!
