Follow signs to the Aquarium. From the East / Logan Airport - Take the Sumner Tunnel to Boston, bearing right on Cross Street. Follow signs for Route 93 South. Do not take highway (to the left), but watch for Dock Square sign (to the right). You'll see Haymarket and the Bostonian Hotel on the right. Follow the sign for Waterfront Surface Artery; Long Wharf is straight ahead on the left. Parking Parking garages are available nearby at such areas as Rowes Wharf, The Marriott Hotel, The Garage at Post Office Square, The Boston Harbor Garage, and all Quincy Market parking (within easy walking distance). Mi sono recata al porto il giorno previsto, mentre eravamo in fila una ragazza ha detto che il mare era bello agitato e che se si avevano problemi con il mal di mare non sarebbe stata la giornata adatta. Ho rinunciato e deciso di cambiare data (gratuitamente) tornando il giorno dopo. Non soffro il mal di mare, ma ho la fobia del vomito (sia che questo accada a me o ad altre persone). Il giorno dopo sono salita sulla barca, la ragazza non aveva accennato nulla sulle onde della giornata, ma una volta salita ho comunque chiesto. Mi è stato detto che anche quel giorno ci sarebbe stato il mare mosso. La barca stava per salpare e ho deciso di rimanere cercando di affrontare le mie paure. La barca aveva posti all’esterno e all’interno, mentre ci allontanavamo dal porto le onde si sentivano e già qualcuno si stava sentendo male. Dopo un’ora e mezza verso il largo qualcuno ha deciso di vomitare giù dalla balconata del secondo piano centrando me e altre due ragazze sedute di fianco a me. Inutile dire quanto questa cosa abbia reso questa esperienza il giorno più brutto della mia vita. Dopo l’episodio ho chiesto aiuto e l’equipaggio è stato fantastico, mi hanno dato dei vestiti puliti e sono stati tutti super gentili con me. La gente è idiota e disgustosa, quando sono andata ad insultare la persona che aveva deciso di vomitare dal secondo piano (una donna tra i 40 e i 50) ho scoperto che insieme alle sue amiche era salita sulla barca con un bel take away del mcdonald che come già sapete è finito poi su di me. Nonostante questa premessa, quando la barca si è fermata perchè eravamo finalmente arrivati alle balene, la situazione motion sickness era davvero insostenibile. L’episodio capitato a me è sicuramente un episodio particolare, ma non capisco perchè ostinarsi ad uscire comunque in mare quando ci sono queste condizioni.

Check in was easy. Great staff. Saw a few whales. Trip was just what we expected. Snacks and drinks were provided on the boat.

What an incredible experience we went in mid July and we were just blown away! Definitely bring some snacks and sunscreen.
