Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for a group of 3-to-5 people near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

    Outstanding. Caine was awesome, and we all were able to get up after a few tries. I have gone in the past with large outfits and had 1/16 of the experience

    Our family of 6 took surfing lessons while on vacation. These guys are fantastic; They were even able to persuade my reluctant 11 year old to surf, and he had a blast. I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

    Was super excited to take my family surfing in Maui. They all just started taking lessons in California so I thought it would be a nice treat for them to learn in Hawaii as I did. BIG MISTAKE!! even though I told the couch that my husband and two children 17 and 7 had surfed before, obviously we are taking lessons because they don't really know how. No land instruction was provided to gage their experience. Once in the water he proceeded to yell instructions and insult my family to me when they could not hear him or did not understand given their lack of experience. BIGGEST BEWARE!!! While to coach was past the break ALONE with my 7 year old son (who he refused to help paddle out its a long paddle for little kids. After a few waves many kids tow on an adult leash as I did with him not the coach) he proceeded to catch his own wave leaving my son past the break and me on almost to shore 50+ ft away turning around to frantically paddle out like the scene from a worst nightmare to get my son. Thankfully he knew to stay somewhat on his bored and another surfer (not related or part of river surf noticed) gave a wave that he had also noticed what happed. I will never surf with Rivers again. I highly recommend that buyer beware. For my family this was their first lesson in Hawaii, for me no. This is not what it should be like. No instructon and definitely far from any Aloha spirit. Truly sad and taken back as a parent.
