Make your dreams come true during a unique dolphin encounter and discover the wonderful world of the whales. An unforgettable experience: swimming with wild dolphins in their natural environment. If you don't want to swim with them, you can also observe them from the boat. The second part of the excursion: whale watching. With the help of a hydrophone, our crew will try to localize them.   • Dolswim, Grande Riviere Noire
    Meeting time at 6:45 a.m. in Black River. At 7 a.m. you will leave on one of our speed boats for an unforgettable encounter. You will observe wild dolphins in their natural environment. If the conditions are right, you can also swim with them, accompanied by a skipper (max 2 persons at a time). We will first explain you the rules for a respectful encounter with the dolphins. The first part of this excursion ends with a snorkeling on the coral reef. Then it is time to go observe the whales. With the help of a hydrophone, our crew will try to localize them. Sperm whales can be observed all year round while humpback whales can be observed between June and October. Water and soft drinks will be served during the trip. Return around 12:30 p.m. We guarantee a 60% chance to see the whales.

  • Wheelchair: the wheelchair cannot be taken on board, but we can carry the guest onto the boat. Please advise weight. Wheelchair guests will not be taken into the water. Exclusive excursion recommended for these guests

The difference between these guys and many others? Respect for animals and nature. After a clear briefing on board we were informed about the way they try to please their customers, but not at any cost. Wellbeing of the Dolphins and wales are priority and therefore they don’t allow to swim with wales as it stresses them, but dolphin is ok It was clear tocus during the trip that many other companies are much more agressive on approaching them and being first We were extremely lucky, we saw wales and were able to swim with the dolphins in open sea. Again, easy swim, not too many people at a time to avoid stress I love the way they do business Make money for a living, but respect the source of income Highly recommended

Amazing experience, our guide (Ronaldo) provided excellent knowledge, was very skilled at spotting whales with naked eye and showed interest in making sure we had a worthwhile experience! Not many experiences have swimming dolphin and whale watching, so this was a good option and time efficient. Best thing we did in this trip! Try and book when weather is good as it makes whale sighting easier (which isn't guaranteed)

When I first arrived in Mauritius, I unfortunately booked a tour through an independent tour operator and was shocked by the unethical practices once on the boat. However, the Dolphins Encounter and Whale Watching trip with Dolswim Ltd exceeded my expectations. This trip was the most professional and satisfying excursion that I've experienced since arriving in Mauritius. The skippers took their jobs and the safety of those onboard very seriously at all times. They were also kind, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the sea creatures. I would highly recommend this trip and company.
