Situated at the extreme southwestern tip of Mauritius, you will hike and climb to the memorial cross of Le Morne Brabant Mountain (UNESCO world heritage site), guided by our local and qualified mountaineer who is totally committed to safety, comfort and fun. Experience the first light of the day, followed by the magical sunrise with its golden colours which can be seen only at this time of the day. The hike includes multiple rock-scrambling and climbing sections which can be tackled participants with little to no experience in mountain climbing. During the hike, you will learn about the unique flora and fauna of the island, the history of the mountain and the cultural aspects of Mauritius, accompanied by a local qualified mountain guide. You will also spot “Boucle d’Oreille” commonly known as Trochetia Boutoniana, the endemic national flower of Mauritius.

Le Morne Cultural Landscape, Unnamed Road, Le Morne, Mauritius Meet your guide outside the Slave Route Monument in Le Morne. Stay in your vehicle and follow your guide to the start point of the mountain trail. You are kindly requested to be at the meeting point 30 minutes before the start time in order not to miss your slot.

It was absolutely amazing! Both Eric and Kassia were superb! Gave us all the safety instructions and were with us throughout the hike. The history facts also were so interesting. Most of all I think the timing of the hike is perfect… for the views, for the adventure and for the lack of crowds. Loved it! Note: the hike is quite chalkengin if you’re not an experienced hiker! Be ready.

Wir haben gestern die Sonnenaufgangstour auf den Le Morne gemacht und sind noch immer total begeistert! Unser Guide Eric hat uns sicher nach oben und wieder herunter gebracht. Wir hatten Dank ihm zu keiner Zeit das Gefühl, dass wir die durchaus herausfordernden Passagen nicht meistern können. Wir würden dringend empfehlen, insbesondere die letzte Passage zum Gipfel, nur mit Guide durchzuführen. Die Aussicht oben ist - gerade zum Sonnenaufgang - einmalig! Die Kommunikation insgesamt mit dem Unternehmen können wir ebenfalls nur loben: Aufgrund des schlechten Wetters musste unsere erste Tour leider abgesagt werden. Dies wurde uns rechtzeitig mitgeteilt und sofort ein Ersatztermin angeboten. Hier steht die Sicherheit an erster Stelle! Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Departure very early in the morning for a simple and good reason to see the sunrise halfway through the ascent of Morne! The second part is still reserved for experienced hikers and climbers, you should know that. Bring good walking shoes and a change of clothes
