The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7 cascades, is an enjoyable hike in the heart of the island. Our 3 hours guided hike is a highlight of the best waterfalls on the spot. Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons. During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades. Please note that this is not a flat hike; it involves traversing varied terrain with both ascents and descents over rocky surfaces and steep sections with roots. You may encounter challenging and technical parts along the trail. In some instances, you may need to rely on your hands for support, using branches or tree roots to navigate through these sections.

    The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7cascades, is an adventurous hike in the heart of the island. It’s a total immersion in our tropical forest, where we will discover five of seven waterfall of Tamarind one after the other. Located in the centre of Mauritius, the hike offers a great discovery of the diverse nature of Mauritius. Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons. During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades. This hike is suitable for the whole family and lasts more or less 3 hours including the swim breaks.

Très Belle balade avec Fred, visite guidée et avec des infos intéressantes sur la nature de l’île Maurice. Avons apprécié le moment baignade dans la cascade en fin de parcours! Et merci pour les photos! Nous avons passé un très bon moment le site est magnifique, on recommande!

We enjoyed this amazing hike guided by Frederick, a very pleasant and fun guide. We had 2 kids with us, of almost 9 and 10 y.o, used to hikes. And the little one enjoyed Frederick’s presence and he asked 1000 questions and told him 200 stories of his own. And Frederick was patient, answered all, joked a lot and the kids really enjoyed the hike and his presence. The waterfalls and the forest are very beautiful and I recommend it to anyone. Thank you, Frederick!
