Learn about the transformation of Medellín from one of the most colorful places in the city. On the Graffiti Tour we will visit Comuna 13, formerly known as the most dangerous neighborhood in Colombia, we will see how innovative projects of urban renewal and the use of street art they have given a better future to its inhabitants, to perceive their environment of social inclusion and improvement of the quality of life of its the inhabitants, whom has benefited from the social impact of urban projects such as the Escalators of Las Independencias neighborhood, the Metro Cable (cable cars), the Hospital at la Aurora - Pajarito, the San Javier Library Park, urban graffitis, among others. In this walk in tour we will show you how the Colombian government confronted the crime and the drug gangs and turned it into music and art. We will visit the electric stairs of the 13th district which gave Medellín the award of the most innovative city in 2013.

We requested a private graffiti tour in Medellin from Atotour a local tour guide ocmpany as we had only little in the city and my fiance doesn't speak any English. I contacted Atotours and within minutes Ana managed to find us a guide for 4 hours available within the next hour. The service we received from Ana was very good she was very helpful and understanding. Santiago our tour guide was a local guide very experienced. He made our tour very enjoyable. He picked us up from our hotel and brought us back. He gave us full description of each graffiti in Comuna 13 with the historical events which was great because if we had done the tour by ourselves we would not have known about all the history details. Santiago was very lovely and sweet. We recommend to anyone in Medellin to use the excellent services of this company and we do highly like and recommend Santiago. Many thanks Christelle and Carlos
