Our next stop in our great Santa Fe de Antioquia Tour is the Western Suspension Bridge, this bridge was declared National Monument in 1976.
Finished in 1895, this bridge was designed and constructed by the same engineer involved in the Brooklyn Bridge construction.
Today, it is the third largest suspension bridge in Latin America and the eight worldwide.
There are many stories behind this bridge and its creator some of them fun some others amazing but all interesting. 60 minutes

We thoroughly enjoyed both trips with did while in Medellin with 2 different guides. They both were punctual, fun, informative, and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend you use this agency.

Esteban was our tour guide and the trip to Santa Fe was more enjoyable because of him!
He shared his knowledge about life in Colombia during the car ride. We visited the hanging bridge and the charming town of Santa Fe. The highlight of our trip was tasting the fruits that are native to Colombia!
Would highly recommend Esteban as a tour guide for any tour. The experience of visiting any place is always enriched when you have someone like Esteban, a passionate local to guide you!

Wonderful day travelling to Santa Fe de Antioquia with our guide Carlos. No need to visit pueblito paisa in Medellin, better to visit this actual pueblo paisa. Super cute colonial town an hour outside Medellin. The western bridge was impressive and we chose to walk across. An older lady sold us some tamarindo candy. We then parked at the edge of town and walked around. Tons of picturesque little streets and buildings. A few notable plazas and churches. We entered the main church and looked around. There was a poetry exhibition set up in one square. A great Encanto-esque town to spend the day. Several restaurants offer use of their pools for a minimal fee. We would never have learned as much without a guide to take us and explain. We also did a Medellin city tour and a trip to Guatape with Medellin Day Trips. Both excellent and recommended as well!
