I'm from Colombia but I was doing 4 different tours with Palenque Tours Colombia because my friend from Germany was visiting my country and I wanted to show her the best of the best with off-the-bitten track places and experiences. The guide was very friendly and he knew everything about the city! The car was clean and punctual. The places we visited were great and we felt we really got to know the city. The most important thing: We understood the city. It means that we understood the evolution and the new reality of this magic city.

Eine Stadtführung? Das klingt ja öde, dachte ich, wurde aber eines besseren belehrt. Denn wenn die Stadt so spannend ist wie Medellín, lohnt sich der geführte Weg durch die Hotspots doch sehr. Ich weiß nicht, ob wir ohne Begleitung die Veränderungen verstanden hätten. Im Kopf schwirrt immer noch der Mythos der gefährlichsten Stadt der Welt herum, gleichzeitig nimmt man die Dynamik und Modernität in einigen Stadtteilen wahr. Unserem Guide Gabriel ist es gelungen, unsere Herzen für Medellín zu öffnen und so blieben wir länger als ursprünglich geplant.
