Built in the Norman period, on a steep rocky spur, this work by the Chiaramonte family is one of the Island most important, charming and best preserved feudal castle, besides being the biggest. Caccamo is a pretty medieval town at 520 meters above sea level, which stands on a hill at the foot of Mount San Calogero. Built in 1131, you can admire the famous mosaic Christ Pantocrator from the inside; the Medieval wash-house; the "Osterio Magno" and the magnificent promenade. This was one of the best tours we have ever taken! Tatianna was a wonderful tour guide and gave us personal attention. She was so knowledgeable about Cefalù and the Caccano castle. She shared with us about the history of Sicily and was available to answered any questions both before and after the tour. When we return to Sicily, we will definitely schedule tours with Tatianna.

Tatiana and Giuseppe (driver) were terrific. Tatiana is warm, accommodating, and shares all her extensive knowledge about Sicily, cephalu and caccamo castle. She is very passionate about Sicily. She showed us lots of hidden gems in Cefalu and caccamo castle. She also recommended amazing things for Palermo. Even though it was a rainy day Tatiana filled our excursion with sunshine! She is a Sicilian gem !

This tour exceeded our expectations ! This private tour was organised by Rainerie travel in a very good condition Mercedes sedan. But the best part was the tour guide Tatiana who was so knowledgeable, passionate and kind. In our so many years of experience of taking private tours all over the world she definitely stands out. Also our driver Josefa who was ever smiling and shared with us his knowledge of cooking Italian cuisine. This tour itself is fantastic, Cefalu is so beautiful….. I would surely recommend this tour if you are in palermo and want to experience Sicily.
