Take a relaxing horse trail ride through one of the most beautiful and largest urban parks in the USA. At a size of 4,500 acres this area covers more than five times the area of Central Park in New York City. While riding the horse trails with your trail guide, you'll have the opportunity to see deer, ducks, cranes and other wildlife. The horses are well-trained and can handle riders with all levels of experience. Choose from morning or afternoon departures. All riders must weigh less than 240 lbs

After two weeks of horse camp at Shelby Farms, our two kids couldn't wait to go back for a trail ride - they were not disappointed. Despite the heat, we had a beautiful ride with Leo, Cowboy, Shay, and Diamond (and humans Claire and Marley). We saw more deer than we could count, surprised a fish at the edge of a lake when we walked up, and watched ducks and other wildlife meander about on the sunny day. We will definitely be back!

My mom and I did a 1 hour private tour with Kate and it was amazing. We had CJ and SJ, respectively, and they were the best horses. My mom owned a horse for decades and now that she’s retired, our annual tradition is to go on a ride at every new destination we visit. The staff, which consists of all volunteers, was lovely and they have a really cool international transfer program with girls from all over the globe! We’ll definitely come back next time we visit Memphis! Thank you, Shelby Farms!

Shari was very friendly,helpful, and professional at the front, and Claire was a friendly and enthusiastic guide. Claire explained riding techniques, described the personalities of riders’ horses, and engaged riders in conversation along the trail. The trail itself was lovely, including forest and à view of a lake.
