Our guide Charlie was very knowledgeable about the history of Beale Street and Memphis in general. He was very entertaining and we enjoyed the tour even though the temp was barely above freezing. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about the history of Beale Street.

An excellent tour. Charlie was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, including economic developments, Artistic, political, literary, civil rights, military events, interpersonal anecdotes, real estate changes—widely interconnected. He had a great sense of humor, and was considerate of the chilly weather to try to position us in the sunshine when possible. Highly recommended.

Great city tour with a knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. She provided both a historical context for the tour, and great information about the changes that have taken place on Beale Street over the past 100+ years. We were able to walk on the steps of some Memphis greats, with their notes stamped in concrete including Elvis,
Jerry Lee Lewis, Earl the Pearl Banks, Robert Johnson, Aretha Franklin, and Albert King. Live music played in the background, super fun!
Highly recommend!
