    Tours are self-guided ONLY. The Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum is a French Victorian mansion built in 1871. Furnished in period antiques, you will learn of the fascinating history of the Woodruff and Fontaine families who resided here. Tours usually last one hour and can be modified for special interests and age levels. Tours may not be appropriate for children under age 5. Since all three floors are visited on the tour, as can the basement, it should be noted that there is no elevator available. The first floor of the building is handicapped accessible, and handicapped bathroom facilities are available in the Carriage House. The Woodruff-Fontaine House is QR code accessible to provide more information.

Friendly staff to check in and give you the family basics and answer any questions. Beautiful home and interesting to learn a little bit about the family and other historic events of the time. We were in the home about an hour.

Beautiful preserved and restored mansion showcasing Victorian era living. Self-guided tour, but docents were available for questions and additional information. Exhibits change seasonally, so will return to see new material.

Great historic mansion. As we were staying opposite we had to visit and were not disappointed, the house has been restored beautifully by the preservation society and the guide was super informative about the houses history. Sad that so few of these mansions survived urban renewal. Some fabulous details downstairs, the door hinges were so ornate!
