We will start this beautiful day picking you up at the meeting point, the goal is arrive to Chichen Itza early, since is the most visited archaeological site. As soon as it´s open (8:00 am) we will have the chance to enjoy the place with less people, have better pictures and take advantage of the refreshing morning. We will stop in a convenience store to grab something to eat. Inside the archaeological site i will explain you the customs, history, and life of the mayan civilization and the city. Afterwards we will drive to a cenote (natural sinkholes) where we´ll have enough time to swimm and cool off in the crystal clear waters of this amazing natural ecosystem. Afterwards we will drive to a little town and eat in a local restaurant where we can find a great variaty of local food and vegetarian options as well. Then we will hit the road again towards north, this time we will visit the salt mines where we can observe the wonderful pink lagoon and the pink flamingos that inhabit in the biosphere reserve.

Fantastic tour hosted by Mario and Hernan. Excellent attention to detail and I loved their passion in making it a memorable experience for our group. We had first access into Chichen Itza which was great for photos. The traditional Mayan family lunch was superb and some of the most authentic Mexican food you will taste. The private Cenote was beautiful and it our group had it all to ourselves. Overall a wonderful day and would highly recommend Eco Expeditions Mexico.

I’m so glad I went on this trip, our guide Hernan is very considerate, it’s a small group, we saw everything we wanted to see, we were the first ones in Chichén Itzá so we got to avoid the crowds, the cenote is private and very beautiful, the pink lagoon is very pink! Very full packed schedule but not really tiring

Nos tocó con el guía Delio y un conductor que no recuerdo su nombre, super amables. Realice el tour con mi abuelito, nos gustó muchísimo. Todo claramente explicado. Nos encantó el hecho de que fuera tan temprano( 6am) la salida porque así fuimos los primeros en entrar a la pirámide de Chichen Itza. Nos pudimos tomar fotos cuando aún no había tanta gente, nos explicaron la cultura y tradiciones de los Mayas la cual es bastante interesante. El cenote Oxmán precioso. Nos quedamos con una muy buena experiencia acá en Mérida.
