Overnight stay in desert camp & Camel trekking in the Sahara

At the beginning of april I contacted Ahmed for some information about a night stay in the Merzouga desert, a little village at the entrance of Sahara. The village itself is very nice and people are friendly and helpful. After pondering all the options i decided to spend 2 nights in the camp. I ride the camel during sunset and slept in a spacious tent with all the comforts. The staff were absolutely fantastic, I sit and talk with them about the local berber culture and watch a sky full of stars. Decided as well to opt for a full tour with a 4x4 the next day and visited all the attractions of the area included spending time with the nomads. Thanks to Ahmed for his hospitality, I had the best time in Morocco and I suggest to everybody to try at least once in their life.

Me and my partner visited Morocco last week. All Morocco is an amazing place but Merzouga is something else. We had the best 3 days watching at sunsets, stars, landscapes and enjoying fabulous food. Staff members in the camp are friendly acknowledged all our requested. Tents are big and bed are comfortable. We choose a tent with ensuite and it was extremely clean and well maintained. They have camels and 4x4 and play typical music to their guests. Wish the trip would last longer to spend more days in total relax. We will be back next autumn and thanks Ahmed for your kinda patience and communication. A++

It was a good experience, got to see the sunset and sunrise. The organization could be better though. Guide told us to arrive between 4 pm to 5:30 pm and said the earlier the better, we arrived at 4 pm but didnt start the camel ride until 5 pm. Said sandboarding was included as well but there were no sandboards seen at the camp.
