We loved the trip in the Sahara dunes, that changed colours during the walk. Meanwile talking with the local guide was a pleasure. We learned a lot from him about Morocco and it's inhabitants. Highly recommend if you do not want to go on a camelback.

I was traveling solo in Merzouga and didn’t want to ride a camel so I decided to join this walking sunset trip and turned out it was one of the most beautiful memories I had in my life. It was unique and I think everybody should try it especially if you want to connect to the desert on a deeper level, not just settling for a regular site seeing experience. The guide knew the desert like the back of his hands and we walked across the dunes, stayed on top while the sun was going down and headed back just before it went completely dark. Little did I had the chance to go deep into the desert by foot without getting lost and this was my best chance. I felt I was connected to the landscape on a different and not an exaggeration to say a spiritual level when I was learning to pick up the pace and ground myself by finding a balance without sinking into the sand. This is not something you can understand from riding a quad (which I tried too) or driving a 4x4. I would do this again if I could!
