    GETTING TO KALAMPAKA: Departing from Athens, the train is by far the most pleasant way to get to Kalambaka. From Athens or Thessaloniki, you can take either a train or a bus up to Meteora. The trains servicing the northern part of Greece leave from the “Larissa station” in Athens, while the buses serving that part of the country leave from Terminal B, at Liossion Street. Also, we can schedule to pick you up from Athens or Thessaloniki with a minibus. (Contact us for more information) In case you arrive in Kalambaka by train, we can pick you up from the train station and start the tour. ​TOUR HIGHLIGHTS: Visit Saint Antonios, where the first hermits arrived in the area of Meteora Visit 3 monasteries Visit St George the Mandilas Stops in many spots for amazing photos Visit the Byzantine church dedicated virgin Mary which is built 300 years before the first monks arrived in Meteora

Amazing scenery, but would be helpful to know the enormous amount of steps involved. If you book it after April 2023, keep in mind the train schedule was changed and early train was canceled and you will only have 3 hours which is definitely not enough, we felt rushed. Book a hotel and rent a car. The tour guide tried his best , but it was exhausting with a limited time, we still glad we went.

This was a great trip! Despite the difficulties of transportation to get to Meteora, Christina was extremely patient and communicative with us during the entire time. We were very grateful that they accommodated the delay and still provided us with an amazing tour. The monasteries and town are gorgeous. Christina was able to provide a good overview of the area and explain the history of each location. I would definitely recommend this tour.
