    During this guided hike you will have the opportunity to discover some jaw-dropping “hidden gems” most travelers don’t know about like the thousand years old hermitages of Bandovas, the ancient monk’s prison, as well as the “hidden” hermit caves. You will also learn all about the history and legends of Meteora directly from your local mountain guide. Last but not least, you will witness (from an ideal vantage point) Meteora’s breathtaking sunset and you will have the opportunity to capture some amazing photos that you will cherish forever.

This is the best thing we did in Meteora!! So much better than just visiting the monasteries!! If you like to hike: this tour is for you!!! The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the both the geological origins of the area and the history of the monasteries. He helped us determine which monasteries to visit the next day and even where to eat dinner. He went over and above to assure that our entire stay was enjoyable. Not just the 4 hours he spent with us on the tour.

Despite my hotel being not on the map, Nicolas picked me up bright and cheery! I ended up being the only one on the tour which made it super surreal! We hiked at a perfect pace, passing in between the towering rocks while stopping for the most incredible views. Nicolas was the best tour guide. Made sure I was doing alright, taking care of my safety while also pushing the boundaries with crazy cliff edge experiences. Plus he was very knowledgeable and was open to any conversation or any questions. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. If you enjoy nature and the beauty of Greece without the hustle bustle, you will LOVE THIS.

A worthwhile trip to see Meteora in another light! The hike was very well planned and well organized. Nicholas our guide was fantastic; patient, knowledgeable, earnest, good fun. Highly recommended. Wear good shoes.
