In a taco shell (get it?), you’ll discover the dizzying world of tacos in Mexico City with one of our Mexican hosts, who can’t wait to show you that the real deal is nothing like the Americanized version you may be used to. There are hundreds of types of tacos, and thousands of taquerías you could try them at, saying nothing of the various toppings and salsas you can garnish them with. We find that when learning new things, a practical approach is key, so to learn about the taco scene you’ll need to do a fair amount of eating. You’ll explore the city together, trying eight types of tacos at some very local spots indeed, and discover the explosive flavor and texture combinations mounted atop the tortilla. Tacos even pre-date the Spanish arrivals, so rest assured you’re learning about an important part of Mexico City’s heritage. Who said prolonged snacking wasn’t educational?
