Our guide Arturo picked us up at our hotel in Condesa. Newer, comfortable compact car. It was fine. Our first stop was to the Square of the 3 Cultures which included pre-colonial ruins, a colonial church and a modern museum, which we did not enter. The ruins and church were interesting and unexpected. This location is also where many students were killed in 1968 by the military during a demonstration against the government. From there we drove to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan. Very interesting and it helpful having Arturo explain what we were looking at and the relevant history. We then had a 3 course lunch. Decent, not great. Finally, we went to the Basilica of Guadalupe. Fascinating place and Arturo was very helpful again. Bottom line this was an excellent day and value.
