There’s an unusual statue, in the very back of the cathedral, of a skinned St. Bartholomew. It’s a must see.
Unfortunately, after researching, there is no substantial evidence about his life and death, and even yet another example of an inconsistency amongst the gospels.
It seems he may not have been skinned, but rather crucified. It also seems, according to the gospel of John, he must have had another name of Nathaniel. (biblical experts still debate this).
I have attached a photo.
