This tour hits interesting parts of Milan and DaVinci’s Last Supper. Our guide Marco explained the significance and history behind the opera house, the cathedral, statues remembered from my history books, and unique architectural details that most visitors would not notice (such as the bronze marker in the floor of the cathedral that lines up with a beam of light from the roof to indicate the solstice). Marco made it fun and fascinating, and he has a broad understanding of art and medieval times, which we appreciated..

We met up with our guide at the Milan visitor center then proceeded on tour by a combination of bus and walking. He very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of keeping us on time through the variations of scheduling created by the idiosyncrasies of the various venues. The Duomo was impressive and a must see; La Scala was magnificent and the Last supper experience beyond words. The room of the fresco was larger than expected from the online discussions. The crucifixion of Christ fresco at the other end of the hall was an unexpected bonus.
