Among its main activities are: conservation and restoration of works, exposure of the same according to the most up-to-date museographic criteria, acquisition of new works and entire collections, study, development of educational activities aimed at all categories of public. In recent years, great importance has been given to the communication of initiatives promoted by the museum through social media and the internet.

    The preparation for the visit can take place through the Museum site, which also offers the possibility, to smart-phone owners, to link with a series of data on the history of the house and the works during the visit. Lovely collections with a few stunning paintings including two Botticellis. The architecture of the house was also beautiful and included painted ceilings, statuary, and fountains. The museum is small and walkable even for those who have issues walking. There are also elevators available on asking. Would highly recommend.

Sono ritornata in questa che è una delle più belle case museo di Milano, appartenuta a Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli, raffinato collezionista, dove troverete una delle collezioni d'arte più ricca d'Europa. Notevoli le opere esposte, tra cui dipinti di Botticelli, Raffaello, Piero della Francesca, Pollaiolo, Canaletto, Mantegna, Tiepolo, poi vetri di Murano, oggetti di oreficeria e smalti, sculture, tappeti antichi persiani, arazzi rinascimentali, le collezioni di orologi e strumenti scientifici, ceramiche, pezzi etruschi e romani, la bellissima armeria. Una meraviglia. Visitata con la tessera dei Musei della Lombardia e Valle d'Aosta, che dà accesso illimitato a musei, ville, castelli, edifici storici e mostre per 365 giorni.
