  • Please bring a reusable waterbottle on tour with us. There are multiple locations to refill during the day.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

This is probably the best way to see Milford Sound. We considered driving ourselves without a group tour of any sort so that we could stop along the road wherever we wanted, but we opted for the small group van tour. We're thankful we did. Driving ourselves would have been exhausting and dangerous with the narrow windy roads, especially in the dark after a long day. Not to mention that the tour helped keep us on schedule to make sure we got to the sound on time. We booked the scenic flight back hoping to save time, but unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough to fly and all flights were cancelled. It was no issue hopping back in the van to head back home. The van is comfortable and has WiFi for most of the trip. Couple stops for coffee and plenty of scenic stops for pictures on the way to the sound, which is why we booked this trip! The sound itself was beautiful as well. Dolphins swam up right next to us. The drive in was informative from our great guide Ashley, and quiet on the way back as most people slept. All in all great trip! Tip: Arrive to your pickup spot early so that you can pick a good spot on the van. Sit towards the front if you get car sick.
