    Enjoy all that the busy bazaar streets and fresh produce markets of Chaguanas has to offer. With local fruits, provisions, meats and snacks, vendors put them all on display for purchase. Look out for the hot peppers! Also try some local East Indian snacks, like Khurma.

  • Dattatreya Temple and Hanuman Statue, Port of Spain, Caribbean
    Located in Central Trinidad and so you see a number of Hindu temples, and prayer flags in the yards of seemingly every house. See the largest (85-foot/26-meter) statue of the Hindu monkey-god, Lord Hanuman, outside of India. A tour of the site including the attached yoga center allows you to learn about interesting rituals and concepts

  • Temple in the Sea at Waterloo, Caribbean
    Take a short drive across to the Temple in the Sea and Cremation Site. Also enjoy a tasty, authentic roti lunch (not included in tour price) before being dropped off back at your Port of Spain hotel at around 2pm.

We traveled to Trinidad on a cruise with our 2 young daughter and was a bit hesitant based on some info from the state departments website. However we were paired with with Orlando who was very timely on the pick up and so pleasant!! He was extremely knowledgeable and told us all about the history and facts of Trinidad. He started off in the downtown area of the city then we moved to then markets where he insisted on trying the famous “double” and boy that did not disappoint! It was very tasty! We then made out way to the Hindu temple by the sea and actually witnessed a funeral service. After leaving there we made a brief stop at the statue for some views before heading to get a Roti lunch! The lunch was delicious and Orlando was such a pleasure. Added bonus was that his van was equipped with wifi! Highly recommend this tour, it well exceeded our expectations!

This was a great tour for me and my friend … both of our spouses were in conference meetings. Khaleel was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the area. We experienced great local foods, beautiful views, a market that had amazing fruits and vegetables, Dattatreya Temple and the Temple in the Sea. It was the perfect excursion to see a bit of Trinidad in a short time.

A very entertaining and informative tour, getting away from the main tourist routes and giving a feel for the real Trinidad! The food was excellent, overall highly recommended
