We arrived into Alexandria as part of a cruise ship tour. We decided to do our own thing rather than a cruise line excursion and went with Mirette Tours. It was excellent! Our guide, Ghada, met us at the port entrance and we were quickly visiting lots of different parts of the city. Ghada was excellent, she was really friendly, knew everything there was to know about Egyptian history and the way that it has shaped Alexandria.

Our tour of Alexandria covered most of the places that were of interest to us and gave us a good feel for the city. Our guide, Wesson, was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She not only knew a great deal of information about the important sites in the city, she also seemed to know everyone and to be known by them.
