fort jesus is a must visit while in mombasa city.very interesting place with alot of history,we had a very informative and knowleagable guide who we were connected to by the tour company in diani which we booked all our tours and transfers with mr jafar +254710239929 we paid 12usd at the entrance which was ok and reasonable to us.

Your trip to Mombasa City cannot be complete without visiting the Fort Jesus. As UNESCO puts it, it's one of the most outstanding and well preserved examples of 16th Portuguese military fortification and a landmark in the history of this type of construction. Besides history, there are plenty of other things to see and do in and around Fort Jesus. You can explore the narrow streets of Mombasa Old Town, enjoy the beautiful scenery, try out local cuisines, etc. You can also get a bird's view of the ocean right from Fort Jesus.

The experience was great.. Especially with a tour guide it felt like traveling back time when I was there. My best experience was when I was able to climb to the towers that were overlooking the ocean
