Sunset Wild Horse Island Private Boat Tour

I had booked the Sunset Cruise with Eric in late September, which was about 2 hours. Eric was really knowledgeable about the area, noting wildlife, the islands in Flathead Lake, and all the residences that surround the lake. The boat was large enough for six, and felt completely safe throughout the cruise. And to top it all off, seeing the sun set was just awesome. Highly recommend the trip, as they do run even after peak season is done (weather permitting, of course).

We had a great day visiting Wild Horse Island. Eric was so nice and we had a lovely ride across the lake to the island. Saw a few eagles and Eric provided a lot of interesting facts along the way. We hiked all around the island and did see the horses.. The hike up to the peak on the island was pretty steep. Some of us couldn't make it all the way up but we made it far enough to have some amazing views. We didn't see any of the sheep ut it was pretty warm that day so they must have been hunkered down somewhere in the shade. Highly recommend taking this excursion if you're somewhere near Flathead Lake while in Montana.

Amazing day on the Lake! My wife and I booked a four hour Whildhorse Island Sunset Cruise private charter with Discover Flathead Lake private boat charters and it was the highlight of our trip to Montana. Angie made our booking simple and efficient. We received a follow up email with all the trip details and a reminder email the day prior with directions. Couldn’t of been easier. Eric met us at the dock to take us on our 4 hour adventure. First off the boat is beautiful and roomy. On the way to Wildhorse island Eric went out of his way to show us Bald Eagles and even some juvenile ones in a huge nest. He also pointed out several Osprey nests with both juvenile and adults. The hike on Wildhorse Island was peaceful and absolutely beautiful. We didn’t see the horses but saw wildflowers, lots of different birds ,Mule Deer and a group of Big Horn Sheep. After returning to the boat Eric cruised along the numerous islands and the lake shoreline looking for wildlife and admiring the beautiful houses on the lake. Flathead lake is stunning during the day but at sunset it was just magical. We Highly recommend a trip with Eric and Angie.
