Whether you're looking for Romance or making this day a family outing, this is sure to be a day you'll remember. The rafts may look unstable, but you'll be surprised at how well balanced they are. Getting on and off will be a breeze. The seats are well padded so this will be a comfortable journey. Even if you can't swim, you can still enjoy the ride. Life vests are provided just in case, but chances are you won't need them. The depth of the river is only 4 feet most of the year anyway so you can relax. Relax and take in the scenery. You'll be surrounded by beautiful trees and exquisite wildlife. No worries though, none of the wildlife in this area is dangerous. The sound of the river flowing along with the woodpeckers pecking away and the various exotic birds you'll come across will make this experience unforgettable. Take your camera out.     Rafting on the Martha Brae, the island’s #1 rafting attraction is located approximately 10 minutes from the town of Falmouth. Your experience begins at “Rafter’s Village”, which sits on a natural horseshoe island featuring a fully appointed recreational facility with a bar and souvenir shops. Established in 1970, Rafting on the Martha Brae boasts a complement of eighty five licensed and experienced raft captains. Guests board 30-foot bamboo rafts under the supervision of a licensed dispatcher. The raft ride lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes is operated over a three-mile stretch of the beautiful Martha Brae River. As you glide down the river, learn about “The Legend of the Martha Brae” and even try your hand at poling the raft. The attraction has over the years played host to a number of celebrities including HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Richard Branson, heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, Chuck Norris, Dionne Warwick, Spike Lee, Kenny Rodgers, R&B star Jason Derulo, former NBA star Patrick Ewing, Jane Seymour of “Doctor Quinn – Medicine Woman” fame, late Johnny Cash and Olympic Champion Usain Bolt The ride ends at "Rafter's Rest" which houses a second bar and gift shop. We hired road travel to take us through some local areas, one of the places Andrae brought us was here. It was a great experience, saw so much of the local culture. Andre was very professional and on time, I would recommend road travel for any excursions. My time in Jamaica was an awesome experience thanks to the help of road travel Jamaica and Andrae I've learned so much about this wonderful island, keep up the good job guys.
