Really enjoyed our morning tour with Thupten . Picked up from hotel 5.30 am went to Tibetan monastery first and observed morning prayers, then breakfast with family in the settlement. Butter tea and roasted barley flour- like a porridge. Learnt about the harsh conditions of living in Tibet and how the refugees had to adapt in 1959 and since then.
Then on to another settlement to see carpet making and met and talked to Tibetan medicine doctor in the clinic. Fascinating. Lunch was Momos and returned to hotel 2 pm.
We learnt so much about the different forms of Buddhism and life for Tibetan refugees, thoroughly recommend the tour if you have time in Pokhara
