Chaouen, or Chefchaouen as in Berber language, is one of the most beautiful towns of the Rif Mountains. It is the last rampart before the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula. A holy city with about twenty mosques and sanctuaries, it has charming powder- blue houses as well as the trademark dazzling lime-washed houses with blue doors. Free time for lunch and departure to Tetouan.

    Upon arrival to Tetouan your driver will intrdouce you to your local guide and begin your Tetouan tour by visiting Tetouan’s old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The old medina in Tetouan was once a pirate hub and the capital of Spain during colonial times. The Romans destroyed Tetouan and it was repopulated in the 16th century. A nice day trip...Super organized... punctual departures, great drivers and guides...Chefchoaun is just beautiful and through the tour we learned a lot about the history of the city and the population.My 13 year old daughter was also enthusiastic about the tour. In Tetouan, the 1.5 hours were enough for an interesting tour of the old town... Thanks to everyone involved...it was really nice.

Mohammed was great. He gave an amazing in depth tour of Chefchaoun and answered all of our questions. Hakeem was very nice and showed us many local spots in Tetouan.

The tour was somewhat misleadingly advertised as 7-10 hours , but, to its credit, the company did advise me that it would take the full 10 hours and therefore it was too close to my ship's departure.
