The Viator excursion could have been more organized, especially regarding the pick-up location. It was very confusing trying to find the tour guide outside the port gate where we docked. It also felt a bit unusual that the tour guide left us several times for about 20 minutes to handle personal matters during the tour, especially since we were in unfamiliar areas. Thankfully, he always returned, but it did feel awkward, particularly when we had to call him to come back after we finished lunch. Aside from those concerns, the excursion itself was enjoyable — seeing the cave and riding camels along the beach were definite highlights. However, for peace of mind, I will likely book future excursions directly through the cruise line to ensure everything is clearly organized and taken care of.

I was skeptical when this tour began on foot, starting with 1/3 mile walk to meet our tour guide outside of the port area. However, I could not have known this would turn out to be one of the best excursions we took on our recent cruise. The walk through old town Tangier was the highlight for us! Hamza was very pleasant, patient and informative! He arranged a very comfortable ride in an air conditioned a for the rest of the tour. The camel ride on the beach was another highlight. We ended the tour with an authentic meal at a restaurant in old town. I would definitely recommend this tour, as long as you have comfortable walking shoes.

We had such a splendid tour with Hamza as our guide. He was extremely friendly and caring. He went out of his way to ensure that we were getting everything we wanted out of this tour. He was a fountain of information about everything we saw even while driving down the road. It made our tour even more special than we had anticipated. I highly recommend this tour with Hamza for anyone coming to Tangier even if it isn’t your first time here. Well worth the time and money.
