Your day trip begins with a hotel pick at either Moshi or Arusha then jump in for a relaxing drive to Marangu gate for registration with the authorities before you begin your long-awaited hike. This route approaches the mountain from the southeast part. Our main task for the day is to make sure we reach Mandara Hut, the first point of a full hike. We will only trek through the lower attitudes, taking our picnic lunch en route to Mandara Hut. Once we are at Mandara Hut, we will rest for approximately 30 to 45 minutes before we begin our slow descent back to the Main Gate. Our driver will be waiting for you to drive you back to your hotel with relaxing music and cold or warm Kilimanjaro beer to take away the tiredness. Not only should you climb it but drink it too. Please bring your own nondisposable water bottle.

    Get a shot at climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro without having to reach the summit on this private trek from Arusha or Moshi. Perfect for beginners or those without the time to make a full multi-day climb, this hike covers the first leg of the Marangu Route to the Mandara Huts. Drink in views of Kilimanjaro’s peak, trek rainforest trails filled with birds, mongoose and blue and colobus monkeys; and re-energise with a picnic lunch at Mandara before your descent. The travel time by route to arrive to the point of interest will be 90 minutes.

My husband and I arranged a one-day hike to Mandara Hut on Kilimanjaro with our guide, Mr. Chris. He collected us from the hotel at 6 am and returned us by 8 pm. Throughout the entire day, our guide ensured our needs were met and made the hike exceedingly comfortable. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Chris to anyone interested in hiking Kilimanjaro.

My trip to Kilimanjaro was amazing, and I owe much of my success to John, our primary guide. He was exceptional and went the extra mile to ensure that I made it to the summit. During the grueling night ascent, John even carried my bag for most of the way, which was a huge help. I've already recommended James, one of the guides from my company, to my friends who are interested in climbing Kilimanjaro. Overall, I had a fantastic experience, and I have no complaints.
